On January 28 he spoke at a public hearing at the Connecticut State Capitol, where the Working Group on gun violence prevention was meeting. He told the hearing that "gun ownership is a right and (they) should not make gun owners suspect simply because of the numbers or kinds of guns they own or even how much ammunition they have."
