Read the Sun-Times article about the pickle in which Jesse Jackson, Jr. finds himself.

And remember, folks. The next time you think you are about to be charged with a crime, be sure to have your lawyer get in touch with the authorities and work out a deal before charges are filed.

Can you believe this (expletive deleted)?

Is it only the rich and powerful, and the politically well-connected, who get this kind of treatment?

"It’s likely that the U.S. attorney’s office and Jackson’s lawyers have engaged in 'charge bargaining,' said Jeffrey Steinback, a defense lawyer who specializes negotiating plea deals in federal criminal cases."

Maybe Attorney Steinback would be a good one to put in your SmartPhone speed-dial...

So JJJ bought himself a $40,000 Rolex? I wonder if he wore if when he was knocking on doors in his district, looking for votes.

Did anyone else think JJJ's wife, Sandi's, resignation looked a little suspicious? Think she might be engaged in a little charge-bargaining herself?

Kind of makes you sick, doesn't it? I wonder what a really close look at all of our Congressmen would reveal... Is there anyone there who is squeaky clean?
