Where do Sheriff Keith Nygren and Acting Sheriff (errr, Undersheriff) Andy Zinke stand on guns?
Are they ready to take them away from law-abiding citizens?
Or are they in the group with Sheriff Ronald B. Bruce (Hinsdale County, Colorado) and Sheriff Scott Berry (Oconee County, Georgia)? Never heard of Hinsdale County and its 843 residents? That's 843, for the entire county!
Sheriff's Bruce and Berry have made it clear that they understand the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens?
Think anyone could get a statement like that out of Nygren (if you could find him) or Zinke?
A while back, this Pledge was circulating.
“I, ______________, will never, by use of force or any other means, confiscate firearms lawfully possessed by the citizens of my community.”
Let's make a list of all the chiefs of police in McHenry County and get them and the Sheriff and Undersheriff to sign this pledge.
And then we need to go to the Mayors and City and Village Managers and get them to sign it, so that they will not order their chiefs to go out and confiscate our guns.

Gus, I'm not a Sheriff but instead a member of a major big city police department in excess of ten thousand officers and I'll sign.
Thanks. I hope you've got a lot of company.
I do contrary to popular opinion.
