Hate guns, but want protection?

Received from an out-of-town friend.

"A must-have in every home in America! For everyone who would rather not have a gun in the house! In view of the recent Supreme Court ruling, sales of this new product may skyrocket. Washington thinks they are going to take away our guns, so check this out. I like it!

"NAIL GUNS! And you don't even have to register them or have licenses for them! And you don't have to worry about them being concealed! Just a lot of good stuff to do with these!

Once in a while something so totally cool comes out that even a guy who doesn't normally even know what he'd like for Father's Day or Christmas would immediately ask for it.

Thank you, DeWalt!!!

New Nail Gun, made by DeWalt. It can drive a 16-D nail through a 2x4 at 200 yards. This makes construction a breeze, you can sit in your lawn chair and build a fence.

Hundred round magazine. Someone invades your home? Just nail their hide to the wall. ~~~

I wonder where they got the yellow stock?

Some people believe everything they read. CPSC would never allow a nail gun to have a non-contact head. Dewalts lawyers would never allow them to build it either.

This product does not exist. See Snopes

Ed., thanks. I suspect that most readers realized that DeWalt had not produced a nail gun that looked like an assault-style rifle. But it was a pretty nifty piece of photoshopping, or whatever it was.

However, the idea of a nail gun for a weapon of defense isn't all that bad of an idea. No FOID card needed. Probably not (yet) on Dianne Feinstein's list of banned weapons.

No CWP needed. Just charge up the battery and hang it on your belt, and off to Walmart. Or to your kid's school. Or to any other GFZ. And you probably don't even have to "unload" it before putting it on the front seat of your car. And no "container" needed.
