Let's see; a gun in a school? Sounds like a felony to me.
The Cary Police Department (Steven Casstevens, Chief) and his hot dogs will show up for a test response to an "active shooter".
Dumb? Stupid? Outrageous?
I've heard of some stupid things in McHenry County, but this one gets First Prize.

Is Woodstock District 200 considering such a stupid action?
Parents, call District 200 at 815.338.8200 or the principal at your child's school and ask.

The drill was held this morning. I posted the following comment to the Northwest Herald article about the drill.
"Were the firearms carried by police during this drill loaded with live rounds? Were assault-type weapons carried into the school? Did they contain live rounds? Did they use "practice", non-firing weapons in the school? Was the exercise video-taped for review and critique? Who will analyze the dangers presented, if any, and oversee further training? To what extent will the public participate in improvement? Was there a contingency plan in case an "active shooter" took advantage of the announced drill to convert it to a real incident?"
