You have to know that Vice-President Joe Biden is, first, a politician. When you read his words as a good, loyal, trustworthy Obama follower, you know he is a politician.
"We can affect the well-being of millions of Americans and take thousands of people out of harm's way if we act responsibly."
But then the Associated Press wrote "Biden said the administration is weighing executive action..."
Oh, Joe, you mean like in Germany in 1934?
The reporter slid "assault weapons" into his article, even those no assault weapon was used in Newtown or at the Aurora, Colo. movie theater or at Columbine High School.
The NRA continues to be demonized in the press, but reporters fail to mention that the NRA is speaking on behalf of 4,000,000 gun owner members. Frankly, I'd like to see 8,-12,-16,000,000 people forking over their $25-35 annual dues. How many will be screaming, if Obama signs an Executive Order today banned all semi-automatic rifles and pistols, and may any revolver holding more than five bullets.
This morning I got to thinking about how fast legal action could be filed against Obama, if he signed an Executive Order like that. Obviously, the NRA has to be ready for him to do that. It must be ready to pounce.
Will Obama try an end-run around Congress, as he has in so many instances?
I don't know anyone who doesn't oppose gun violence. Taking guns away from law-abiding citizens is not the way to stop gun violence. And it's not going to happen.
What did Charlton Heston (1923-2008) say in 2001? "I have only five words for you: 'From my cold dead hands.'"

bad analogy, his hands are cold and dead.
That sometimes happens at age 84. But he didn't die while somebody was trying to take his gun.
