Newtown tragedy

Now is the time for parents to re-connect with their children. The tragedy in the elementary school in Newtown, Conn. should be a wake-up call in all families.

Stop and reflect on family relationships and values. Think about those in Newtown whom you don't know. Think about those, there and elsewhere, who need support. You don't have to be a mental health expert to help another person. Just listen. Be "present" with others.

The bashing over gun control can wait a few days.
