Read today's story on this blog http://dirtykeithvsdirtyharry.blogspot.com/
It details a case of child abuse that was apparently first disregarded. When a different deputy encountered the children on a second call, he got help for them. But his required report was apparently squashed.
This story has reportedly been covered in a deposition taken about two weeks ago. What happens now?
Should the facts of a story like this be determined publicly?
The author of the other blog reportedly heard the details first-hand from a current deputy of the McHenry County Sheriff's Department.

So it appears this blogger is alleging a conspiracy to cover up child abuse that must span; current deputies, the Sheriff, a local hospitals Emergency room staff, the DCFS, the Sheriffs departments lawyer, Zane Seiplers lawyer and at least one volunteer foster family? With only one lone misunderstood deputy standing up when all these people conspired to hide child abuse? Really?
Wait...that site is down again...can't wait for it to come back up so I can compare my screen shots with the new data to see what "facts" may have changed this time.
This is over the top. ANYONE that gives even a sliver of credibility to this ridiculous story should immediately check themselves in to the closest psych ward.
Nota, are you objecting to the story, to the purported facts of the story, to the person who published the story, or to the person who allegedly related the story to the person who wrote about it?
I recall the comments after I wrote about the Sheriff's behavior/ actions in the Jewel-Osco parking lot. I know exactly what happened. I was there. And I remember the efforts of the Friends of MCSD to attempt to discredit my report of exactly what had happened.
If a MCSD deputy said what happened, do you believe him or not?
Do you think any writer, including a blogger, would be brave enough to accuse someone of saying something so "ridiculous", if that "someone" hadn't said it?
Gus, everything is legally on the record now so I have removed the story.
No sense feeding truth to idiots. It will all come out sooner or later.
The issues that have been brought forward are now in the proper forum and I feel no need to inform anybody, any longer.
Im always amused at some commentors who write about things of which they have no knowledge.
The only people who know the entire truth, are but a few.
Anybody else here who makes negative comments, is doing so out of their own fears that perhaps we have found out about them as well.
Really Gus, those commenting hiding behind 'play names,' kind of says it all doesn't it?
How do you like my 'name' Gus...pretty fancy eigh??
I know, it's all been a big conspiracy by high dollar lawyers, deputy sheriffs and State Police and FBI agents, just to mess with the likes of "Darth."
Let them get their "News" from the Heralds...
I do not believe it is FACTUAL.
My opinion is the person that wrote the story is UNBELEIVEABLE.
Furthermore I would seriously doubt the veracity of the story IF in fact it was purported as stated by that deputy.
You ask" Do you think any writer, including a blogger, would be brave enough to accuse someone of saying something so "ridiculous", if that "someone" hadn't said it?
SERIOUSLY how short is your memory? How long ago was it that Bachmann announced the arrest of Nygren? How "ridiculous" was that? Don’t you think his rants are off the edge?
OK lets play the “ what if” game. We all know that you have extensively blogged about this alleged incident in the Jewel Osco parking lt. I am not commenting regarding the merits of that allegation, but will advance the proposition that, “WHAT IF” some OTHER crafty blogger could entwine this PARKING LOT incident into a fancy tale to make for better suspense. Could it be that Gus was snookered?
This entire story is false from the get go. The FBI does not grant immunity from prosecution. The witness (deputy) would need to be in already hooked up from some violation of a Federal crime. Immunity falls under the jurisdiction of the Federal Attorney. No serious investigation would be so reckless nor would they not show their cards. Speaking to a blogger would void any deal.
I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night. I am not so gullible as to believe this wild fantasy.
There was no "alleged" incident in the Jewel-Osco parking lot. There was the incident. The facts were reported within minutes to the Woodstock Police Department and recorded in a police report by the responding officer.
They are also fully reported in my blog on 9/17/2009.
One HungLo
Your blog is still all right there in google reader....2:20 AM
1:48 AM. Same posts...In fact all of them are still there.
Maybe you should try sleeping...Or maybe you are:)
Alleged is the proper term. Since you reported it, it is alleged to have occurred. Please don't be so sensitive Gus. Even a TV journalist reporting over a dead body as they haul the shooter away in cuffs calls the man in custody an ALLEGED shooter. Please re-read my comment and then apply the meaning of the word. I even went so far as to say "I am not commenting regarding the merits of that allegation"
Merriam-Webster
1: asserted to be true or to exist <an alleged miracle
2: questionably true or of a specified kind: supposed, so-called <bought an alleged antique vase
3: accused but not proven or convicted
Lastly, since you appear to strongly defend the likes of Bachmann as a credible source, in six months will you say you were wrong? Something that would be a first.
Sorry, "alleged" is not the right term. The Jewel-Osco incident happened. I reported it. It would be correct for you to write, "Philpott reported ..." Alleged is not needed.
You might write, "Nygren was alleged to have (done something)." He was the perp in this incident.
You are hammering Bachmann. If you question what happened involving the kids in Marengo, it seems to me that you ought to be hammering Milliman.
After reading the entire list of Gus-Nota comments I think the correct term would be ALLEGEDLY. That doesn't mean it didn't happen but since it was never ruled upon by a court the proper term is allegedly. Gus said that Nygren did it is what Gus says. A reporting media will however say Gus says Nygren allegedly did this. I agree that the term reportedly could be used also. First person account say it as a fact, second person report says it is an allegation. Merely terminology.
When I read it, I took away the idea that Nota was proposing that blogger Bachmann (One Hunglo) used the incident between Gus and Nygren as an opportunity to make up a story that fit an already existing event plausible. Maybe Milliman did this to make his story credible. If I see the Daily Herald reporting this, then I will give some credibility to the story. Media reporters usually vet their sources more thouroghly.
I went back and re-read Bachmann’s blog and low and behold he has changed his tune on a couple issues. Number one is the FBI giving immunity. Now he questions that. Someone else said that in another forum or blog. Also Nota mentioned it above.
I reported the entire story as told to me.... I did NOT question Deputy Milliman on the issue of what HE TOLD ME, about the FBI letter.
In my mind, I did question the issue, BUT, I did not know the answer.
When a man is telling you that another man told him to kill you, the last thing on my mind were the little details such as who can or cannot provide a letter of any sort.
Yes, after reading a comment here, it did raise the issue further and YES, I did go back and put it in the story line...
A good and valid point was raised on this issue of which i was not going to press as I was telling the story the WAY IT WAS TOLD TO ME.
As far as the 'arrest' story from last june.. that was a joke to a person to was obviously a nygren supporter who was feeding me a bunch of baloney.... so I fed it right back... for about 15 mintues.. then took it down, THEN, POSTED A STORY of WHY it made the joke..
Some of what I do is for fun, some things are serious issues..
If you have any problems with what I WAS TOLD by a SITTING DEPUTY, call him...
From what I understand, he told the exact same story under OATH.
SO, what do you want from me..
Let's see what shakes out in the end..
Oh yea, I also reported last year about the identity of Sir Pumpkin.
I was slammed for that as well as defaminig a "good deputy."
Interestingly, I attended a couple of Seiplers Rockford Federal Court house hearings and the Sir Pumpkin issue came up.
The judge DEMANDED "SIR PUMPKINS" author come forward..
Guess what... Yea, I was right again!
Oh, the best one now I read is that I took Gus's story from 14 months ago, stored it away in my memory bank, and WHAM, popped out a story and linked it to Gus...
I think somebody has been smokin to much of the products they SAY they have destroyed..
And I thought I had a great ability to use my imagination. You have me beat... Why don't you start a blog so I can fullfill my lifes dream of 'trolling' and imagining the 'intent' of others.
Hey, I have no problems if you want to question what I may or may not write...I dont even mind the name calling.
Let's see what pans out... I can tell you that I know more than all of you because unless you are all ghosts, Ive not seen anybody but Cal Skinner in any court rooms where some of this information is flowing from.
One last point. You will believe it when the Daily Herald writes about it, then its credible?
Now that there is funny, I dont care who ya are!!
Has the FBI or State police been sitting in Chuck Keeshounds offices???
PS: Blogging is not a job for us.... read what you want, believe what you will, but bloggers write what they wish, its their blog. We never claim to be the "News."
The reason you read the blogs is because you know, you dont get anything out of the local papers.
I think you are all probably smart enough to agree on this issue.
IF the MCSO is feeding me a bunch of garbage to see me print it, and NONE of it is true, (and this same deputy has told NUMEROUS PEOPLE the same story) who has the liability issue? NOT ME!!
Milliman is not lying.....If he were why hasnt nygren fired him??
If I were Nygren, and saw this, I would have held a press conference denying the allegations.
"Silence" is "GUILT!"
Thank you. Let's see what happens. Beleive me, I want to get at the bottom of this as well. And I shall.
