On January 19, 2010, the Woodstock City Council is likely to adopt a resolution favoring a Metra station just west of Lily Pond Road.
The good news is, it's only a resolution. Certainly, no Metra station is needed for a gravel pit operation.
Will there really be a baseball stadium there or the fairgrounds?
I wasn't sure whether I should have a good laugh over the wording of the Resolution. "The proposed East Woodstock Metra station will preserve and enhance the quality of life in the City of Woodstock and McHenry County."
Who dreams up this stuff?
