MSNBC and Arizona's law

MSNBC.com conducted a poll, starting in May, on Arizona's new immigration law.

The question was, "In July, Arizona will begin enforcing a new law that requires law enforcement officers to check someone’s immigration status if they have reason to suspect that he or she is in the country illegally. Do you think this is a good idea?"

The number of voters? 2,851,776

The tally?

Yes 95.9%

No 4.1%

Cite please. A poll with 2.8 million responses I would like to see.

The MSNBC.com poll was apparently created on May 24 (from the URL) and appears to still be open, as the count is now over 2.9 million.

As I thought. This was not a polling of 2.9 million voters (which by the way would be very costly). This was an internet poll.

And it was a poll on MSNBC. The poll on Fox would have been 100%.
