If you haven't seen Taking Chance, be sure you do.
The HBO movie, now on DVD, depicts the military rituals involved in returning a deceased soldier to his hometown. Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, USMC, volunteers to accompany the body of PFC Chance Phelps to Dubois, Wyoming.
PFC Phelps died in Iraq on Good Friday 2004 and was home eight days later. Every citizen should know the honor and dignity that is accorded the one who has given his all.
HBO will broadcast Taking Chance again on November 11, or you can order it from Netflix and probably Blockbuster.
The Washington Post reviewed the film at www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/02/20/AR2009022003750.html
