The McHenry County College Student Peace Action Network is holding a festival on Wednesday, September 23rd, from 11:00AM until about 7:00PM.
The event will be held on the cafeteria patio, if the weather is nice; otherwise, it will be held in the cafeteria/commons area.
There will be tie dying, kite flying, bean bag game, face painting and music. A peace pole dedication ceremony will be held at 11:45AM, in which a Buddhist monk will say a blessing.
The Festival is called Woodstock Flashback.
Note that Monday, September 21st, is International Peace Day. There will be activities all week long at MCC in recognition of this day.
