The Woodstock City Council and the Woodstock Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) have scheduled a meeting on Monday, September 14, at 7:00PM in in the city council chambers at City Hall.
The HPC requested the meeting to discuss historic preservation efforts in Woodstock, recent council actions and future direction for the Commission.
Last Fall one of the city council members said that he didn't want the HPC members to feel unappreciated. Recent actions of the City Council have been so far south of "unappreciated" that that word shouldn't even be used in the same sentence with the HPC.
What will this meeting accomplish? Will the Council really "hear" how the HPC members feel after having been run over in the Grace Hall matter? Sure, they'll listen, but will they really hear it?
I hope you will all be able to attend and certainly spread the word to others with an interest in historic preservation in Woodstock. This is a public meeting.
