Krause leaves MCSD

Brian Krause, long-time friend of Sheriff Keith Nygren, supervisor of the McHenry County Sheriff's Department vehicle servicing garage and the Sheriff's personal chauffeur for parades, has left the Department. A source told said Krause resigned. While that might be close to "retired", it's not the same.

Recent news reports indicated that Krause might be retiring, but his departure from MCSD this week may have been rather sudden.

Krause purchased Keith Nygren's house in Hebron, Ill. on December 3, 2010, for $250,000 in a neighborhood of $165,-180,000 homes. The transaction took place only two days after Nygren was sworn in for his new four-year term as sheriff and only a month after Nygren was re-elected. Krause had sold his Marengo home in November, so the Hebron house transaction must have been in the works.

One of the requirements to hold the office of sheriff is residency in McHenry County. Efforts to reach Krause to inquire about rumors that Nygren was living in Krause's home have been unsuccessful. Perhaps now he will be available. Should he confirm rumors that Nygren has refused to move out of Krause's new house, at least now Krause won't have to fear retaliation or loss of his job.

There is something going on that is going to pop. Krause walked in and just resigned after telling everyone he wasn't leaving until this summer. The Sheriff is still in Kruase's Hebron home. Is Bryan hiding gains on the sale of his Marengo home by having a higher purchase price here? Somethings going to POP...like a weasle.....

I heard Krause went up to Hebron to tell Nygren he wanted to move into the house and that Nygren needs to move out. Nygren countered with "Why don't you put in your two week notice now?" Krause went to work the next day and quit.

Things are getting weird around the office.

How old is Krause?

Avoiding capital gain might be one reason to overpay on the Hebron house. But over-paying $60,-70,-80,000? How would he ever get that money back?

What if Nygren won't get out of Krause's house if, in fact, he does still live in it? The only reason he could stay in it would be a contract or lease with Krause.

If Krause quit under pressure, I would think no one would want to be standing in front of that fan.

Hey, Brian, give me a call. We can talk on or off the record.

Where does this speculation come from? Whether or not he paid more for the house is only the business of Bryan Krause. Maybe since he got divorced he needed to unload the other home to divide property with the EX and he saw this as a good opportunity.

He has more than enough time to retire. He worked for another municipality for several years before he came to the county. It is the same retirement system. ANYONE THINK maybe he's just had enough?

With Zane publishing Bryan's photo every week, he became the victim of Zane's hatred. Maybe now he can fade into obscurity

He can't fade into obscurity if Nygren gets indicted. He would be a co-conspirator.

I don't think there needs to be much concern about Krause's fading into obscurity. He's got that house with, I assume, a big mortgage.

I'm not picking on Brian here. I hope he'll enjoy retirement, or his next job or whatever, AND his new home. He just needs to get into his new home.

Does anyone have suggestions how to get Keith out?

Civil action?
Criminal action?
