City may clean stairs today

The City of Woodstock may get around to clearing the snow on fire escape at City Hall today.

Last Thursday I noticed that the snow had not been removed from the stairs, which lead from the second floor City Council chambers to the ground. Council Chambers were full last Thursday for the the meeting, and I hate to think how an emergency exit onto the snow-covered stairs might have resulted.

Today I noticed that they were not only snowpacked, but they were also icy. I was told they would be shoveled today.
