Susan Murphy Milano wrote about Beth and gave her impressions and interpretation of this case that is now almost 37 weeks old. Milano bills herself as "Violence Expert and Strategist, Author-Advocate-Media Consultant".
She wrote that on the morning of January 28 Monica Caison, of the CUE Network, and Ron Michaelson, Beth's brother in Arizona, had been guests on her show. Milano wrote, "In my opinion, after viewing various documents and interviews, this is a case of intimate partner homicide. Someone who knew Beth Bentley, in my opinion is responsible for her disappearance."
Milano wrote some interesting tidbits that hadn't made it into local Woodstock news. As I recall, the original Woodstock Police report indicated that Scott Bentley, Beth's husband, had reported her missing on Monday night, May 24, 2010. Milano wrote on January 28th that one of Beth's sons had reported her missing and, further, that subsequently he had been discouraged from placing Missing posters by unnamed law enforcement personnel.
Milano also offers the oft-repeatedly belief that "a mother would never leave her children." Personally, I do not believe that is factual. I certainly don't know whether it is true or false in this case, but that blanket statement does not ring true with me. I believe that there are circumstances when a mother, indeed, would leave her children.
Milano refers to reports of a woman now living in the Bentley home as a "love interest."
And then she really stretches and pulls the indictment of McHenry County State's Attorney Lou Bianchi into this case. Where did she get that? To date the police have not said that any crime has occurred, and the police have not identified any suspects or persons-of-interest. And Milano even wonders aloud whether a Special Prosecutor may be needed.
