V. Peschke's County Board email address

All McHenry County Board members have their own official email addresses - - except one. That one is District 5 Board member Virginia Peschke. Why doesn't the County set up an email address for her to conforms to the pattern?

Peschke's official email address is CountyBoard@co.mchenry.il.us  Now what could the reason for that be?

One would think that the webmail administrator would have fixed that long ago. Or that someone sort of high up in County administration would have noticed it and fixed it. Or even that maybe Ms. Peschke might have noticed it and asked for it to be fixed.

We "common citizens" out here in the real world would think that "CountyBoard" @co.mchenry.il.us would be for an email to be distributed to all County Board members. Wouldn't that be nice?

So why is Ms. Peschke treated differently?

Will this get fixed?

Just thinking aloud here, Gus, but maybe she doesn't WANT an e-mail account? Is there any law or rule that says she must have one? Perhaps the one listed for her goes to the board's secretary or admin type and they share with her, by paper copy or... anything they feel she needs to see.

If we, as constituents, don't like her policy or that she doesn't have an e-mail address, I guess we can either tolerate it or vote her out next time around. If we're not one of her constituents, then I guess it's none of our business whether or not she has one or responds to an e-mail.

Steve, she has an email address; she has a WRONG email address.

She is the head of Consumer Credit Counseling of Woodstock. You think she doesn't use e-mail?

I happen to live in District 5, her district; not that it matters in this case.

If anyone wants her email address, it's vxpeschke@co.mchenry.il.us

You say it's wrong. If she received her mail at it, perhaps it wasn't wrong at all.

If it's that big a deal, why all the drama? Why didn't you just publish the e-mail address you already had and be done with it.

Much ado about...
