Four suicide prevention programs are scheduled this month in McHenry County. The four are being put together by the McHenry County Crisis Program, Centegra Health System and Family Service & Community Mental Health Center (McHenry).
The sessions are open to people who need/want help for themselves and to friends and family members (and anyone) who has concerns about someone they know.
The sessions are free and open to the public. All sessions will start at 7:00P.M.
Oct. 5 at the McHenry County Dept. of Health, 100 N. Virginia St., Crystal Lake;
Oct. 12 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center conference room, 10450 Algonquin Rd., Huntley;
Oct. 19 at the (MCC) Shah Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Ln., McHenry; and
Oct. 26 at the McHenry County Administration Building, 667 Ware Rd. (Rooms B & C), Woodstock.
For more information, try to read the September 18 article in the Northwest Herald. Search for keyword "Greenfield" and look for the headline, "Officials focus on suicide prevention". If you have a Woodstock Public Library card, you can read the article online without charge, even though it has now been archived by the newspaper.
