Is McHenry County so flush with money that it can spend however much to remind real estate property owners to be sure to cough up their first real estate tax payment by Monday, June 7?
Or is the County so worried about raking in the money on time that it "invested" in the reminder stickers?
Presumably, the County mailed tax bills to every property owner. So what's with the reminder? People get a bill in the mail, and they either pay it on time or they don't.
I wonder if a cost/benefit study was done to ascertain any value to such a sticker on the morning newspaper.
