In another day folks would have just grabbed three ropes and strung up the rustlers.
But we're civilized now; right?
The Northwest Herald reports in a noon story that three men were arrested in connection with the theft of "Cartoon Horse" from Main Street in Woodstock.
You can read about it at www.nwherald.com/articles/2010/06/11/98175123/index.xml
Two of the men bonded out Friday morning. The third is still in the McHenry County Jail.
The story lacked details of the arrests. So, when were they arrested? Thursday? Wednesday? Tuesday?
Felony charges require coordination with the State's Attorney's Office. All that takes a little time. Maybe the press line at the Woodstock Police Department needs to open up a little.
"Cartoon Horse" was reported to have been destroyed.

Part of me would like to know why they did this or what was their motive, but I doubt I would find their answer satisfactory.
It was sure a brilliant idea for the horses to be put near some bars in the 200 block of Main Street. What would you expect to happen to them overnight? I say at mininum they would be damaged by drunks goofing off? Why not put them all in the square park? That way they don't block the sidewalk, can be easily checked on by officers and the artists, and are more visible! Having them spinkled all over the down town are is not a very good idea in my opinion!
Actually, I question why there are even here at all, for the purpose they are. Why should the City of Woodstock be participating in a $50,000 fundraiser for a business not located in Woodstock? Or even for a business located in Woodstock?
I didn't like it last year, either.
Those are eye soars! I dont know how people call that art.
Ya its dumb for them to be there but its for a good cause. My question is who pays for the city to put extra eyes on these. And when they had the detective on this case working literally around the clock and pulled them off of the missing mom. And to answer it was a drunkin mistake and regretful
