Last Thursday night a card game on the south side of Chicago got out of hand. One woman, 46, went into a bedroom, got a gun and shot and killed another woman, 51.
What does Chicago P.D. Chief (Supt.) Jody Weis have to say? According to the Chicago Tribune, he said, "If that gun wasn't in the house, there's probably an excellent chance that woman would be alive today. It's the perfect example of the dangers of having a weapon inside the home with folks who, in my opinion, do not have emotional maturity and stability to have such a weapon inside the house."
Well, part of that is true. But the first part, while also true, smacks of siding with Daley and his anti-gun rants.
All right, Supt. Weis, what kind of gun was it? Whose gun was it? If a handgun, was it registered, as required in Chicago? Was Morris emotionally immature? Emotionally unstable? Did Morris have a FOID card?
