Philpott not to be called in Blago trial

McHenry County Sheriff-candidate Gus Philpott has not been served with a subpoena to appear in Rod Blagojevich's trial that opens in Chicago today.

There is no evidence that Philpott ever tried to buy a U.S. Senate seat or that his backers attempted to influence then-Gov. Blagojevich to appoint Philpott. Philpott assures voters that no tapes of telephone conversations recorded by the feds will be played for the jury during Blago's trial.

If voters are looking for a candidate who is not a politician and one who will serve the people because he thinks like a citizen first, cop second, then he asks your strong consideration and vote on November 2, barely five months from now.

Philpott's final word on this is that he can barely spell Blagojevich and admits to not being able to spell Rahm Emanuel's name without checking first at www.chicagotribune.com

Gus,
What about that job you promised me if I did not run as an independent for the sheriff's office? Oh, now that I think about it that must have been a dream I had...wasn't it? Yes it was a dream or maybe a nightmere.
