Holding down the No. 3 spot on the McHenry County sheriff's Most Wanted list is Jeremiah Pedersen, 29 (b. 4/21/1983), late of arrest fame in Woodstock. According to a wanted posted buried on the sheriff's website and unpublicized in the Northwest Herald, Pedersen is 5'11", 180 lbs.

Read the wanted poster. Pedersen is listed as armed and dangerous. "Do not try to apprehend." If you spot him, call your nearest P.D. and let them grab him.
Previous news accounts provided conflicting information as to Pedersen's residence - Woodstock or some town 30-40 miles south of Woodstock. The wanted poster indicates 2222 Aspen Court, Woodstock, as his address-of-record.
Pedersen apparently thumbed his nose at Judge Condon and didn't show up for his May 24th court date. Judge Condon will want to know the status of the warrant at the next court date on June 28. Why not haul the prosecutors and sheriff back into court each week and ask where Pedersen is?
This 30-day follow-up nonsense is stupid! There must be a rubber stamp in the courtrooms that says "30 days" on it. Where is the pressure on the sheriff to grab Pedersen?
Pedersen's attorney is Gummerson Rausch et al. What do they have to say about where their client is?
Who put up his bond? Summon in that person and ask where Pedersen is. Enforce the bond now. And when they grab him next time, how about No Bail?

So, you think nobody figured out that JP might be a flight risk?
The police only arrest. After that, it's the prosecuting attorneys and the courts that are supposed to protect us poor, weak, defenseless civilians.
Defense attorneys would like a PR bond and a court date 5-10 years from now.
The State's Attorney might have asked for a high bail or no bail. Did he?
With charges filed against Pedersen this year on Feb. 21, Apr. 10, Apr. 28, May 1, and May 18, and felonies lingering since 2008 and 2011, did the Judge Condon have good reason to think that JP might flee?
Pedersen was captured Monday ("taken into custody") at Routes 72 & 59 in South Barrington, according to the Northwest Herald. The paper said on June 5 that Pedersen's last known address was on Queen Anne St. in Woodstock, although the sheriff's department website listed his last known address as 2222 Aspen Court, Woodstock on its Wanted poster. A tip to Crime Stoppers helped.
The paper says that Pedersen's bond (Bail) was set at $1,000,000. If he can buy his freedom on a 10% bond, then $100,000 will set him free - temporarily.
