A "perception" problem, says CPD Supt. (chief)

The top dog in the Chicago Police Department says it's a perception problem. He came from the East Coast, didn't he? King Rahm should pack him up and send him back!

See today's Chicago Tribune article. Supt. Garry McCarthy says crime is down. Yeah, sure. Tell it to the parents and families of those injured and killed recently.

The Tribune says "McCarthy’s remarks come on the heels of a bloody weekend that ranked as among the worst so far this year with 53 shot, nine of them fatally, according to a Tribune analysis. Through Sunday, 223 people were slain in Chicago, up 36 percent from the same period last year, according to the department. In that same period, there have been 967 shootings, an increase of 11 percent from a year earlier, the department said."

State Representatives from Cook County and the City of Chicago are the ones preventing Illinois from having a concealed carry law. Criminals know that the public is defenseless. Drive-bys aren't going to stop because McCarthy stands up in a suit in front of business leaders at the Union League Club and whines about a "perception" problem.

Enact a concealed carry law. Arm everybody. Train law-abiding citizens in the law and in shooting straight.

Pass out ammo and gun-cleaning kits. Residents can sit out on the stoops all summer long and clean their guns. Think some punk is going to be dumb enough to roll down a street and start shooting with 50-100 people out there ready to shoot?

Then watch the crime rate drop drastically in Chicago and throughout the State of Illinois.
