Woodstock beat officers for 2011

The Woodstock Police Department has announced the assignments of officers on the four permanent "beats" of the City. These officers patrol and answer calls on their shifts in specific territories of the City for the year.

Beat 21 (northeast quadrant of the City): Officers Charles Vorderer, George Kopolus, Andrew Reitz.

Beat 22 (northwest quadrant of the City): Officers William Lintner, Mitchell Falat, Joshua Rapacz.

Beat 23 (southwest quadrant of the City): Officers Daniel Henry, Fred Eiselstein, David Dempsey.

Beat 24 (southeast quadrant of the City): Officers Brett Muehlfeldt, Cory Fink, Shane Marshall.

Which shift is worked by each officer was not announced in the PD's posting on its website. These assignments can be viewed on the PD's webpages under Press Releases. It would certainly be nice if the City also posted the boundaries of the beats there, too.

Please disregard the assignment list in the City Scene; that issue went to press before beat assignments were finalized. The Police Department regrets the errors and assures residents that all e-mail intended for a beat officer will reach him.

To email all officers of a certain beat, follow this format; address your email to pbo(beat number)@woodstockil.gov. Example: for Beat 21 officers, address your email to pbo21@woodstockil.gov

To email an individual officer, address your email to the officer as (the first letter of his first name followed by his last name)@woodstockil.gov; e.g., for Ofc. Charles Vorderer, address your email to cvorderer@woodstockil.gov
