Right to Carry Assn. offers class

The McHenry County Right To Carry Association (MCR2CA) will present a program for members and the public in two weeks. The title for the evening program is "Mental Preparation for Unarmed and Armed Confrontation".

This presentation will focus on the most important element of protecting ourselves in dangerous and traumatic situations – our mind and mindset prior to violence. Thought processes, physiological and psychological responses to violence, situational awareness and preparing to win in advance of violent confrontations will be discussed and explained along with effective techniques and tactics.

The presenter will be Matt McNamara, a local, dynamic, expert trainer. Matt has experience as a police officer, SWAT leader and detective and experience in the civilian personal-protection business. Read his bio on the MCR2CA.org website; click on Events and then on his bio.

Cost for this program is $10.00, payable at the door.

The program will be presented at the Woodstock VFW, 240 N. Throop St., Woodstock (of course). Thursday, March 28, 2013. Starting time 7:00PM. Arrival early

MCR2CA has a new, energized board. New officers were appointed, and the association is re-energized. The hard work of the founders and of those who served as officers for the first three years is appreciated. The officers and other members are working hard for fair and equitable firearms laws in Illinois. Disarming law-abiding citizens is not in the best interest of anyone (except the criminals).

To join MCR2CA, read of other events, and for more information visit www.mcr2ca.org
Annual membership dues are $20.00, and the association has a new online membership application and PayPal link.
