The story is all over the news about Wells Fargo's firing of a Milwaukee employee, after it discovered she had two shoplifting convictions - from FORTY years ago.
Even though she had served the bank well for five years and received awards for her service, the bank apparently got stuck between a rock and a hard place with Federal regulations.
Frankly, the bank ought to tell the Feds to stick it. Of course, they can't do that without bringing down the full wrath and fury of The Federal Government. But isn't there a way that they could have satisfied themselves that she had mended her ways and was eligible for continued employment?
If I were a Wells Fargo customer, by 5:00PM I wouldn't be.
