Sheriff finally posts press release

McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren finally posted a press release on his website today, Tuesday, about Friday's arrest in Woodstock of Jeremiah Pedersen.

The release, dated April 30, gives Pedersen's address in the 800 block of Queen Anne Street, although today's article in the Northwest Herald describes him as a "former Woodstock man". Yesterday's Northwest Herald article says that Pedersen has given an Aurora address as his residence.

Today's press release from MCSD is unsigned but bears Sheriff Nygren's typed name. It leads off with "Sheriff Keith Nygren announced today..." (April 30) ... Does anyone know if the $12,000/month McHenry County sheriff is even in town?

If he were, wouldn't he sign the press release?

I was told last week that CALEA could be counted on to be very helpful with information about standards, and so I called at 8:00AM this morning (9:00AM at its Virginia offices). It certainly must have been a long meeting that the project manager was in, since she didn't return my call.
