IGOLD bus from Woodstock

The McHenry County Right to Carry Association (MCR2CA) is sponsoring a chartered bus on Thursday, March 10, to operate from Woodstock and carry members, guests and other interested men and women to Springfield for the Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day event. The bus will depart from the Woodstock VFW at 6:00AM sharp!

It is estimated that between 7,-10,000 gun owners and proponents of concealed carry will be in Springfield to educate state representatives and state senators, and their staff, on this issue.

Even Wisconsin allows its residents to carry weapons. Wisconsin permits "open" carry, but it still prohibits concealed carry. That may change this year, that Gov. Doyle is out of the way.

For information about MCR2CA, visit www.mcr2ca.com/ and its Facebook page at "MCR2CA".

A roundtrip bus ride to Springfield will set you back only $25.00. Frannkly, you can't drive there and back for that. Bring your own $$$ for lunch at Cracker Barrel in Springfield. Your $25.00 includes donuts and coffee in the morning and beer, soda and water on the way home. For $5 more, enjoy some pizza on the way back.

You can see a schedule of the day's events at www.isra.org/  Dress accordingly (weather-wise) for a several-block march in Springfield to the Capitol, and dress according (business casual) to visit the offices of your own elected representatives and others.

To reserve a seat on the MCR2CA bus, send an email right away to mcr2ca@gmail.com  Follow it with a check for $25.00, payable to MCR2CA, to P.O. Box 24, Spring Grove, IL 60081. Questions? Call 815/575-4510.

OK, everyone. Hum with me now ... "Hop on the bus, Gus." Oh, yes; free parking in the 24-hour lots next door to and across the street from the Woodstock VFW Post.
