Right-to-Carry Assn. now to meet in Woodstock

The McHenry County Right to Carry Association has moved its monthly meetings to Woodstock, starting with the meeting on Thursday, January 13.

Meetings will now take place at the Woodstock VFW. The new meeting location is 240 N. Throop St., Woodstock. It's easy to find and there is plenty of street and off-street parking.

The meeting time will be 7:00 - 8:30 PM. on January 13, 2011. Going forward, meetings will be at the Woodstock VFW on the second Thursday of each month,

Come on by and find out what this group is all about. Even if you aren't a gun-owner or don't ever plan to carry a concealed weapon, come by to get information and meet people who are. Women are invited; more and more women are expressing interest in guns and shooting. If you are a student and interested, you are welcome, too.

IGOLD News!
Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day (IGOLD) in Springfield this year will be March 10th. This happens to be the second Thursday, and the March Association meeting at the VFW may be changed. IGOLD draws thousands of gun owners from across the state to demonstrate support for gun rights in the state of Illinois.

The Association will sponsor a bus again this year, so plan to sign up early for a seat, if you want to ride it to Springfield and back. The fare will probably include lunch as the bus arrives in Springfield, as it did last year.
