OK, Woodstock seniors ... Stage Left!

First there was Coffee with the Chief (of Police) on a Monday night each month. But you have to go to the Police Station for that. It's worth it, though. I wonder if Mrs. Lowen still bakes those wonderful goodies for each meeting.

Now ... there is Coffee with the City. It's on Tuesdays at Stage Left Café, 125 Van Buren Street, right next door to the Woodstock Opera House. This is for seniors, although "senior" is not defined in the Winter edition of City Scene, published by the City of Woodstock. When is a Woodstock resident a "senior"? Age 65? 60? (Age 50 for AARP membership?).

Tuesdays, 1:00-3:00PM, and it's FREE.

"Mayor Brian Sager and the City of Woodstock invite seniors to DROP IN at the STAGE LEFT CAFÉ every Tuesday for coffee and MORE. Each week will bring a special activity, speaker, food or game. Take this opportunity to get out and socialize with your friends or just hang out and learn about your community, while enjoying games and programs."

It began on January 4. January plans include a talk with Mayor Sager, bingo with Tim Clifton, the City Manager, and Taste of Woodstock, featuring the Woodstock Public House.

Suggestions for future programs are invited. Tell all the seniors you know. You can forward this article by using the little white envelope below. No record is kept of email addresses used.

The City "sez" it doesn't define an age for "senior". So ... if you know you are a senior, or if you think you are, or if you want to be, then just show up at Stage Left Cafe.

The coffee is free, too.
