When I was in South Carolina in November, I came across The Southern Army Album!, an oral history of the Civil War as told by descendants of Civil War soldiers. The DVD was produced by John Bigham, who calls the album "a spark from the campfires of the Confederacy". (Click on the image to enlarge it; then click on the Back button on your browser to come back here.)The 45-minute album records stories handed down from the end of the War in 1865. Starting in South Carolina, the stories are drawn then from western North Carolina, around the Flat Rock area.
