What's that, you say? You are already a member of the human race? No, I mean the Human Race!
On April 16, 2011, during National Volunteer Week, the Volunteer Center of McHenry County will host the Human Race. The event is expected to draw hundreds in its first year.
The 5K walk/run will take place in McHenry’s industrial park on Prime Parkway. Walkers and runners will gather donations and pledges to support their desired charities (agency, scout group, civic group, festival, etc.).
The Human Race is a proven collaborative fundraiser that has taken place in communities around the nation for over 22 years.
There will be more information coming about the local McHenry County event but, in the meantime, you can visit www.mchumanrace.org
