McHenry County TaxWatch ... coming soon

A new watchdog or advocacy group is digging in for a grassroots start right here in McHenry County. Tired of defeating a referendum, only to find another one right on its heels? Feel like you are being nagged to death by taxing bodies?

Do you know the definition of "nagging"? It's like being nibbled to death by a duck.

Co-founders Bob Anderson and David Yang, both of Wonder Lake, are spearheading this new group, to be known as McHenry County TaxWatch. Early attention will be focused on two tax-related issues.

1. School District 156 and its high school referendum; and
2. Getting legislation proposed, written and passed that would prohibit taxing bodies from going back to the taxpayers within two years of a failed referendum.

Watch for more news and for contact information for Anderson and Yang.
