But if you (and I) are there, maybe an Illinois state senator or Chicago alderman will be there to protect us.

"In the Illinois General Assembly, one Chicago state senator elected in 1992 told his table mates at the Legislative Research Unit’s new legislators’ conference that he always carried a gun.
"I saw another Chicago legislator (different race) with his handgun in his shoulder holster on the House floor while he was reaching for his wallet.
"And, of course, Chicago aldermen already have the right to carry concealed weapons."
Since I am more confident of my own ability to protect myself and you, maybe I should just start carrying, despite Illinois' Stone Age laws (that Rep. Jack Franks and the Chicago bloc keep us in).
As one friend said, "I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by six." Get it?
What kind of sham concealed carry permits does that Illinois state senator and the Chicago Aldermen have? They aren't police officers; at least, not "real" ones.
Maybe it's time for another FOIA Request, to find out just how they got the right to carry, and law-abiding citizens in Illinois can't get that right.

Ask the mayor of the city of Chicago, he controls what goes on in this State. He also has several full time around the clock, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year police officers protecting his aging democratic body. Most citizens of Illinois can't afford that kind of protection at tax payer expense.
