Not to be outdone last week by Mercy's National Doctors' Day ad (a paltry 2/3-page), Centegra Health System bought a FULL-page ad in today's Northwest Herald to announce "Happy Doctors' Week."
I'll tell you how I show my appreciation for my doctor. I thank him when I leave (should he be thanking me? I was the customer), and I pay my bill on time or as agreed.
Maybe Centegra and Mercy ought to be putting that money into healthcare for patients or salaries for employees, not into something that causes people to laugh or sneer at them.
