Poll spoilers still lurking

There are two polls running on this blog, and both are being spoiled by a jerk who lurk here.

You'll notice that each poll is tied. I have monitored the voting, and they continually stay even. As soon as a reader votes one way, one of the lurkers shows up and counters that vote.

Are those lurkers interfering with the media? Could they be prosecuted, if identified?

What possible satisfaction could they gain by hanging around as spoilers? To feel good because they are noticed? Did they wet their pants as children and not get enough attention?

Keep it up, guys. I might have to start monitoring IP addresses of computers that are reading this blog and clicking on the poll. Cybercrimes are being prosecuted. If you want to lose your badges, just keep it up.

There was a sheriff in a county in Maryland a few years back who had an expensive lesson after he sent his deputies to follow news trucks delivering papers to newsboxes on one election day morning. The paper contained negative, but truthful, information about the incumbent, who was running for re-election. The deputies got caught raiding the newsboxes, and it cost the sheriff and his helpers $425,000, once a Federal judge got done with them.

Hans, Henry Ford didn't know how to build cars, but he DID know how to hire people who knew how to build cars.

There are plenty of people around here who do know how to track IP addresses, including the law enforcement community and private investigators.

What law is anyone breaking? You cant get ISP to release confidential information without a warrant, sorry, but you will have to live with the paranoia.
