Congressional voting records

Here's an interesting website where you can easily inspect your Congressman's voting record.

This link shows a congressman's voting record compared to the recommendation of the American Family Association. Republicans voted with the AFA about 75% of the time; Democrats about 20%.

You can change the state and see how our own congressmen voted. This is a good site if you want to see how the votes were done in all districts, and it even has a bio on all congressmen.

The link will open to Tennessee. Follow the instructions to view Illinois congressmen.

Many thanks to the reader in Huntley who sent it to me.

I'm going to ask this again. Do you really believe and claim the Green Party platform?

The American Family Association is one of the most offensive right-wing, anti-gay, anti-Muslim, anti-progressive organizations out there. They are diametrically opposed to everything that the Green Party believes in.

Further, this doesn't show a legislator's voting record. it shows a partial voting record with a very clear right-wing bias.

dave, I don't personally know of or care about the AFA position on issues or elected representatives, but some readers might.

It's "information". If you find it offensive, I suggest you not read it.

You didn't really answer the question. I've asked it twice.

Do you agree with the Green Party platform?

With much of it, I do agree, Dave. Not all of it.
