T-W-D - soon to be illegal

Should texting while driving be illegal in Illinois?

Read today's excellent article in the Chicago Tribune.

And pay close attention to the part about the proposed law to ban cell phone usage in school zones and construction zones. And how it will be a "primary enforcement" law, like the seatbelt law.

So, when you are driving through a school zone or construction zone, you'd better plan to hang up fast, if this law passes.

Is it possible to operate a vehicle safely while talking on the phone? Yes, but you might give primary attention to safe operation. And that's what too many drivers fail to do!
