New signs around the Square

Have you noticed the new signs around the Square?

Last year the City expanded the zone around the Square for enforcement of no bicycling and no skate-boarding on sidewalks in the area of the Square.

Plenty of signs are now posted on and around the Square, almost to the point of sign pollution. But there they are.

Now to wait and see what type of enforcement will exist.

Will enforcement begin with warnings? What about the 10-year-old on his bike on the Square? Will he get the ticket or will his mom? Or, if they are both riding, will each get a ticket? Better get that 10-year-old out in the street where he'll get backed over by a driver who can't see around the huge pick-up truck parked next to him.

How big, really, was the problem with skateboarders and bicyclists on sidewalks around the Square?

Probably not so big that it couldn't be addressed by a few firm citizens and laws then in effect about yielding to pedestrians.
What are the fines for violation? Will violations be addressed in the new Administrative Adjudication Court?
