Guardianship - What & How It Works

The Special Education District of McHenry County (SEDOM) and the McHenry County Transition Planning Committee are hosting a panel discussion regarding Guardianship and alternatives, trust funds, planning for adult life, legal services and advocacy on Tuesday, March 10, 2009.

The panel will present from 11:00AM to 1:00PM and then repeat its discussion from 3:00PM to 5:00PM. Both sessions will be held at the McHenry County College, 8900 U.S. Highway 14, Crystal Lake, Illinois, in the Conference Center - Building B, Rooms B-166-167.

The panel will include attorneys Brian Rubin and Robert H. Farley; Financial Planner, Annette Hammortree; Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Representative, Deborah Leurquin; Carl Mook from Protected Tomorrows; Howard Rosenblum from Equip for Equality; representatives from the FITE Center for Independent Living (formerly known as the Fox River Valley Center for Independent Living) and Options & Advocacy, and an individual with a disability.

There is no cost to attend either event.
