Three deputies get some breathing room

A Notice of Appearance was filed in Federal Court. in the Scott Milliman case today on behalf of three deputies of the McHenry County Sheriff's Department (MCSD).

As you have read here recently, about 30 deputies and correctional officers at MCSD may be in a high state of agitation because of their status as material witnesses in Milliman's case. MCSD put them on notice last week that they should expect to be interviewed by the sheriff's internal lawyer, Don Leist.

The Notice of Appearance was filed by Woodstock Attorney Robert T. Hanlon.

This legal representation effectively blocks the Sheriff's Department's Legal Affairs Officer, Don Leist, or the Sheriff's attorney, Jim Sotos (The Sotos Law Firm, P.C.) from contacting these three deputies about this case without Mr. Hanlon's presence.

What should the other 27 do? Pile on.

This story is only getting started.
