Try the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
But would a little thing like "detail" keep him from trying? Not if you judge anything by the number of Executive Orders he has issued - most of which We, the People, know nothing about.
It took over four years for the 22nd Amendment to be ratified. That's what put it in place and created an effective blocking mechanism to prevent a so-called Leader from hanging on, as FDR did.
It would not be good for this country for Obama to make such a stupid move.

I believe that this would start a civil war. 38% popularity does not a coup d'main make. Not in a country where 1/2 of the country voted against him. Not in a country where 1/3 of the individuals are gun owners who are rather "prickly" about the 2nd amendment.
It has been attributed to Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto the following: "You cannot invade mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass." While the attribution may (or may not) be accurate, the factual representation is of a partisan force consisting of up to 100 million armed citizens (1/3 of the population of the country) would have to be part of the calculations for any enemy (foreign OR domestic) bent on subjugation of America.
In my opinion, it would be an act of insanity if Obama tried this, and I don't really believe that Obama is insane.
If you remember, Clinton's cronies floated a trial balloon to repeal the 22nd Amendment. It went nowhere. Neither will this one.
