Reality check needed in Lakemoor

Who you gonna believe?

According to the Northwest Herald this morning, former Village of Lakemoor President Virginia Povidas was served a subpoena by the Lakemoor Police on April 13, acting for the Lake County State's Attorney's Office.

According to Povidas, she wasn't served.

Maybe she should have stayed in Milwaukee a little longer.

It's a good thing that Island Lake and Grafton Township took up the slack, after Povidas' term as village president ran out in 2009. Things have been a little slow from Lakemoor, except for the potty planter case.

Povidas told the reporter that she's not involved in Lakemoor anymore. You'd have thought the paper might provide a little more information, such as the purpose or scope of the subpoena, the return date, the contents of it. Well???
