High-energy people

When is the last time you were around a group of high-energy people? I mean, good, solid, healthy, honest people who, when they spoke, were telling the truth and not blowing smoke your way. And who weren't drinking!

I was there this afternoon, mingling with a group of about 35-40 students and practitioners of hypnosis at the Garrett Wellness Center, just northwest of the Logan Square area in Chicago. Several were students in their first week of study with an instructor in the Oak Park area, including one man from Milwaukee.

Three of the men do hypnosis stage shows, and one man described how he does "street hypnosis" and, when so doing, is sure to offer a gift or benefit to each person he encounters.

It had been far too long since I had been with such a group of high-energy people. You could feel the energy in the large gathering room. Larry Garrett mentioned that every month every chair in the room has someone in it, and he wondered aloud how there could be 12 people attending for the first time today, yet still every chair was occupied. (What happened to the 12 who were there last month but didn't show up this Sunday?)

How much interest in hypnosis and hypnotherapy here in Woodstock and McHenry County? In other cities I have started small study groups to learn about hypnosis. Maybe I'll organize a night at the library. Is anyone interested?
