"Support Zach" Night - 10/13/09

Tuesday night, October 13, 2009, 7:00PM

If you were in Delaware, you'd probably be at the School Board meeting of the Christina School District, protesting its insane decision to suspend Zachary Christie, age 6.
Check out the dangerous weapons to the right. This is my utensil kit from more than 60 years ago. This is similar to what Zach took to his school. He was a first grader, proud of becoming a Cub Scout and proud of his new Cub Scout equipment. Now they want him to go to a reform school.
If you are in Woodstock, let's make sure that something like Zachary Christie's nightmare cannot occur in Woodstock. Be at the District 200 School Board meeting on Tuesday night, October 13, 7:00PM at Clay Academy, corner of Clay and Grove Streets. At least, that's when I think the meeting is, since no agenda appears on the District's website at http://www.woodstockschools.org/

If in doubt, call the District or your kid's school on Tuesday morning and ask if the School Board is meeting Tuesday (October 13) night.
Bring your utensil kit. But wait! Better not bring the knife onto school grounds. In fact, you'd better not even have it in your car if you park within (how many?) feet of a school. Can you even drive by a school with such a "weapon" in your car?
Let's make sure that our School Board is thinking straight about what is, and is not, a weapon!

Where's the straw for the chocolate milk?

The straw can also be used as a weapon- for spit balls, or you can stab someone thru the heart with it. doh

Thanks to D200 for posting (this morning) the Agenda for tonight's School Board meeting at Clay PDC; i.e., for those "not in the know," that's Clay Professional Development Center.
