It's a WRAP (what's that???)

If you happen to know someone with a mental illness, including traumatic brain injury, please pass this information along to him (or her).

A Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) class for adults with a mental illness will be held in Huntley, starting Tuesday, October 20th, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The class will run for eight Tuesdays, concluding Dec. 15.

This class is for those who would like to learn additional skills for managing their own care. In this class the participants learn how to write out a plan - an action plan - their own plan. For example, if you (or someone you know) suffers depression and it's always bad during the holiday season, sign up now. Right now. Learn how to write out your own Plan to combat depression during the coming holiday season and enjoy this season.

Sometimes people want certain others involved if things start to "go south" on them, and they don't want certain others. Learn how to write this up and communicate it to those around you. This will be a participant-friendly class, practical, respectful, interesting, and the leader might even make it fun. Who needs another dull, dreary, boring class; right?

The WRAP will be conducted at the First Congregational Church in Huntley. The public is invited, class size is limited to 10 consumers ("consumers" is jargon for those using mental health services (my definition)), and the class is free.
