Richard Bach hospitalized after crash

Did you read Jonathan Livingston Seagull? Illusions? One? The Bridge Across Forever?

Richard Bach, 76, author of these and other books, was seriously injured on August 31st, when he crashed his homebuilt aircraft, a 2008 Easton Gilbert SeaRey, in Washington state.

In the 1970s in Denver I met Bob Keech, who had been Richard's CFI (Certified Flight Instructor). Bob was a checkpilot for United Air Lines, and he told me he always hated it (saying that with a big smile, as I recall), when Richard mentioned his name in one of his books.

If you'd like to send a get-well card to Richard, send it to Richard Bach, 1004 Commercial Ave., PMB #317, Anacortes, WA 98221-4183 USA

Do it today. And maybe this is a good time to read his books (or re-read them, as the case may be).
