What's happening in Bull Valley?

Bull Valley Police have requested assistance from the McHenry County Sheriff's Department for an event on Cherry Valley Road. Numerous MCSD squad cars are responding, and the Coroner and a K-9 unit have been requested.

Monitor media for more details.

Many thanks to the reader who called me right after I posted the article and pointed out my error in the road name. The correct road name is Cherry Valley Road.

Still no NIXLE message about any road closings on Cherry Valley Road (maybe not closed?) or any other news about all the police activity out there?

As of about 8pm there were 2 marked cars and a black unmarked car in front of a house. The address listed on Google maps is 1590 Cherry Valley rd. The driveway is blocked off with yellow tape.

And still no news whatsoever in the media about the incident on Cherry Valley Road.

Howabout let'n the officials do their job and gather some info to report on versus sending out a Nixle such as: "Police have responded to an event on Cherry Valley road. We dont know what it is yet, but when we do, we will reveal it."
Give people a chance to "discover" and then report on it... doh.

For information, see this morning's article and update at http://www.nwherald.com/2012/01/25/death-investigation-under-way-in-bull-valley/a4jg827/

TMB, good idea. IF they report on it. NIXLE could be wisely used to advise of road closings, if the roadway is expected to be closed or restricted for hours.

Better for that than the Big Brother weather forecast that anyone can hear on TV or Star 105.5.

The caption under a photograph on the Northwest Herald's website reads, "Police respond to a report of two human skulls found Wednesday morning near a residence on Cherry Valley Road in Bull Valley. "They were just laying in the snow on the side of the road," said McHenry County Cororner Marlene Lantz."

So what do you think was found on Tuesday afternoon?

Just read on NWH that the Mom of the boy that found the first skull picked it up and put it in a bag then in her garage. Yikes!!!! Talk about destroying a possible crime scene! Don't they watch tv in that house.
