Be sure to read http://www.shadowmcsd.blogspot.com/ and ask yourself those logical questions that will follow your reading.
And then ask yourself some more questions after you ponder this:
In Sheriff Nygren's own Media Release dated May 29, 2011, he announced (yes, that's what it says: "Sheriff Keith Nygren announces..." that on May 28, 2011 at approximately 2259 hours members of the McHenry County Sheriff's Office responded to the 4300 block of Doty Rd. ..." (Well, maybe he didn't say that, because the Media Release on the sheriff's own website was unsigned. Wasn't Sheriff Nygren out of town that week-end? I wonder who put it out.)
From this release and Northwest Herald articles the first deputy on the scene (still unnamed by MCSO, but possibly Deputy Singer) met Timothy Smith and Kimberly Smith outside the residence. Kurt Milliman, 48, was "...inside the residence with a gun shot (sic) wound."
OK, here's the part where you want to start asking questions.
According to the Woodstock Fire Rescue District a WFRD vehicle (Unit 452) was dispatched at 23:09 (11:09PM).
Question 1. Why did it take a deputy ten minutes (from 2259 (10:59PM) to 2309 (11:09PM)) to call for an ambulance?
WFRD arrived at 2316 (11:16PM), and WFRD left for Centegra Hospital-Woodstock at 2328 (11:28PM), arriving 2331 (11:31PM). The hospital is about three blocks up the road.
MCSO has never released information about when Milliman was shot. Was he shot before Kimberly Smith placed the 9-1-1 call to the Sheriff's Department? If so, how long before? If Timothy Smith shot Milliman after the 9-1-1 call, did either of them call 9-1-1 back to report the shooting?
The inquest into Kurt Milliman's death has been scheduled by the McHenry County Coroner for Wednesday, July 27. An error in the notification letter indicates that the inquest will be held in Room 342 in "Annex A", which is the small building east of the south end of the courthouse, where the Coroner's Office and the Health Department are located.
The correct location for the inquest is Room 342 in the main Government Center building.

Gus,
The reason there is the delay is due to the Deputy calling the county dispatch then couny needs to call Woodstock P.D. to have a Ambulance dispatched. That all takes time.
